In Coyhaique you can find the best scenes to practice sport adventure. A great amount of rivers, lakes and lagoons will allow this place to become the capital of water sports. Simpson river is excellent to practice rafting and kayak. Other scenes 5 to 20 kilometers far from the city can be reached by any kind of vehicle. You may enjoy of a pleasurable walk and also practice some sports such as rowing, canoeing and kayak.

Rafting

It is part of the collective emotions in town. Simpson river has got great sections with an excellent level to practice rafting surrounded by beautiful and natural landscapes. This river also offers sections to be sailed by families, middle sections and some others faster for expert, with even “3 more” grades. The enterprises have got special equipment and qualified personnel to practice this sport.




Kayak

No doubt one of the most attractive things in Kayak is the “rodeo” or waves game. Coyhaique has, in every river (Coyhaique and Simpson), with the accurate places to enjoy this sport, specially for those who like to feel the challenge of being up of a white wave, getting the right equilibrium, which the experts call surfing.

From downtown you can reach, in about 10 minutes, water of great temperatures during the summer and spring.
