BALMACEDA MUSEUM
"the Pioneers"

The Museum the Pioneers of Balmaceda, was inaugurated by the Municipality of Coyhaique on September 10th, 2004. Its main entrance is a capitol, similar in architecture to the Español Hotel, unique place for the visitors to stay during the 20 ‘s and 40’s. It is one of the biggest buildings in the area for cultural purposes.

Apart from the objects and images related to the establishment of the first citizens, it has got an exposure room, souvenirs sail and a neighborhood library which was implemented by the Regional Coordination of Public Libraries in the 11th region.
